Ground Source Heat Pumps
Heat pumps make use of the energy from the sun which is absorbed by the earth. The heat pump uses the constant energy available in the ground, with a refrigerant circuit to allow the temperatures to be boosted to a useful level for the provision of heating or hot water for use in the home.
This type of system is normally suited to a new build property due to the specific requirements, but can also be adapted to existing properties. The appliance itself is ideally suited in a utility room or garage.
The system is made up of an energy collector, a hot water store and the heat delivery system; this could be underfloor heating or oversized radiators.
An average installation uses 2.7kw of energy to power the system but provides 6.3kw of energy extracted from the ground source. Let us help you work towards a greener future!
