Domestic heating systems
Not all heating issues occur within the boiler. Our team of professionals are trained to pinpoint the cause of the problem quickly with the minimum of upset to the household. You may have water circulation problems; need a radiator to be moved or even require a new room thermostat. We are here to make sure your system runs smoothly and efficiently.
Our engineers are trained in all aspects of domestic Heating systems:
New Boiler Installations
Radiators and Towel Rails
Central Heating Pumps
Cylinders & Tanks
Thermostats & Programmers
TRV (thermostatic radiator valve) fitting/replacement
Power flushing is a relatively new concept that delivers spectacular results, fast! Over a period of time the inside of a heating system will become clogged with corrosion deposits. These deposits cause the system to become less efficient as they affect the flow of water around the heating system. If left they can cause problems such as: noisy operation of the boiler, radiator valves seizing up, and in the worst case total failure of the boiler!
The power flushing procedure uses a combination of water and chemicals at high velocity, but at low pressure so that no physical damage is caused to the system. The chemicals break down the deposits within the system and then the water removes these deposits. With a cleaner, more efficient system the boiler runs more freely and easily, therefore saving you money, and offering total peace of mind.
Landlord Plumbing Installations, Repairs & Servicing
Gas Safety Certificates and Carbon Monoxide Detectors for your investment properties. Landlords by law are required to engage gas safety engineers to check your property annually to ensure it complies with gas safety requirements. This means that all landlords must comply and supply their tenants with a full annual gas safety inspection of all gas appliances in rental properties to ensure everything is in good working order and completely compliant.
Our qualified engineers can provide one-off inspections or schedule annual inspections to ensure you’re always up to date with your legal requirements as a landlord. Arrange for one of our qualified engineers to inspect your property at a convenient time for your tenant. We will inspect the necessary appliances including boilers and gas pipes to ensure they are safe and in good working order. Once the inspection is complete, Stamford Plumbing provide property owner with a CP12, which is the necessary gas safety certificate that is required by law.
When we undertake our inspection, we will also provide landlords with any feedback or required maintenance that may be necessary in the future and outline the condition of the gas services and appliances.
Fitting a Carbon Monoxide Alarm in your home gives you peace of mind that your gas appliance continues to operate safely after our engineer has left. Key organisations such as Gas Safe and the HSE highly recommend fitting of these alarms. Carbon Monoxide (CO) is produced by the incomplete burning of gas and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG). This happens when a gas appliance has been incorrectly fitted, badly repaired or poorly maintained. It can also occur if flues, chimneys or vents become blocked. Fitting these alarms can be carried our when we complete a boiler service or gas certificate, so no additional labour is incurred.
